Managing Prisoner Check Settings
Opening the page
Prisoner Check settings (left menu) → Settings.
The page title uses your custom module name if your agency renamed Prisoner Check.
This screen holds module-only options that used to be scattered; it is the main place to tune behavior after the module is turned on in Agency Configs.
How to use it
Each option is a switch or a text box. Set what you need, then Save settings.
Turning field visibility options on makes those fields available on intake (and in the Intake Layout palette when intake is enabled). Intake and Release Requires is where you mark fields mandatory—that works together with this page.
Sections (as shown in the app)
Date and Time Controls
- Allow Editable Intake Date & Time — Staff can change intake date/time when entering intake (when policy allows).
- Allow Editable Check Date & Time — Same idea for check entries.
- Managers & Sys Admins can edit Intake & Release Dates/Times — Extra override for Prisoner Check Managers and system admins when enabled.
Workflow Behavior
- Allow Multiple Prisoners per Cell — More than one detainee per cell when allowed.
- Only Check Occupied Cells — Hides empty cells on the New Check screen when enabled.
- Track Frequency — Uses frequency rules and badges; needed for frequency-aware screens.
- Auto Refresh New Check Page — Periodically refreshes the page.
- Auto Refresh Time (Seconds) — Refresh interval when auto-refresh is on.
Safety and Juvenile
- Show Juvenile Time In Custody Tracker — Shows juvenile custody timing when configured.
- Maximum Juvenile Detention Hours — Upper bound used with juvenile settings.
- Juvenile If Under Age — Age threshold treated as juvenile.
Field Visibility
Turns intake/check fields on or off, including case number, demographics, emergency contact, charges, optional officers (arresting / searching), medications, and person-notified fields (with labels you can customize where the UI shows a label field).
Optional System Fields
- System Select 1–3 — Dropdown-style fields; options are maintained under Intake System Selects when intake is on, and/or under the extra menu entries that use your custom labels.
- System Text Field 4–6 — Additional free-text fields with custom labels.
Release and Detention
- Track Release Codes / Track Detention Centers — Shows those controls when on; Release Codes Label and Detention Centers Label set what staff read on screen.
Not on this page
Global items such as Allow Photos, custom templates, Use Intake / Release, and module on/off typically remain under Agency Configs for administrators. Use Agency Configs for those; use this Settings page for routine module behavior.
